PCT
confirms decision to downgrade services at PRH At its meeting on 10th July, the Primary Care Trust confirmed its decision to remove the consultant-led maternity services from the Princess Royal Hospital, despite concerns expressed by the Joint Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC) about the decision. The JHOSC will now meet on 23rd July to consider the PCT's final decision, and has the option of 'calling in' the decision to allow the Secretary of State for Health to review the PCT's proposals. Local MPs Nicholas Soames and Nick Herbert, and Jonathan Teasdale, on behalf of the campaign, will be giving evidence to the committee.
