Make sure you have the last word on PRH cuts
8 November 2007

With just days remaining before the close of the Primary Care Trust’s consultation on proposals to downgrade Accident & Emergency and consultant-led maternity services at the Princess Royal Hospital, campaigners are urging local people to make sure they have the last say on the proposals.

The consultation period closes at 9am on Wednesday 14th November, and campaigners are keen to ensure residents personally respond to the consultation document. The 20 week consultation has seen unprecedented opposition from across West Sussex, with 14,000 people joining the campaign’s march through Haywards Heath in October.

Residents are asked to spend 5 minutes writing a response to the PCT, in any of the following ways:

  1. By completing the response form recently delivered to around 80,000 local households by the campaign, and returning it to the PCT’s freepost address
  2. Completing the online questionnaire at www.supportprh.com/haveyoursay
  3. Writing to: West Sussex PCT, FREEPOST SEA1064, Worthing, West Sussex, BN12 6ZZ
  4. Emailing: fitforthefuture@westsussexpct.nhs.uk

Campaigners will be meeting PCT Chief Executive John Wilderspin on Wednesday 14th November to hand over the campaign’s official response to the proposals.
