An evening of jazz to support the PRH
28 September 2007

Tickets are now on sale for the forthcoming jazz evening to raise funds for the Support the PRH fighting fund. Campaigners fighting plans to downgrade the Princess Royal Hospital have joined forces with local musicians to raise money.

A jazz evening and supper (catering organised by PRH midwives) is being held on Wednesday 10th October at Clair Hall, Haywards Heath. The music will begin at 7pm, with doors open from 6.30pm.

The line up of local jazz bands is headed by the “Mike Lavelle Quintet”, led by the former PRH consultant Mike Lavelle, who addressed last year’s PRH rally. The other performers will be the “Catfish Trio” and “Rupert’s Bearcats”.

Tickets, priced £15 (to include a light supper) are available from:

Clair Hall, Haywards Heath – 01444 455440

Haywards Heath Town Council, Boltro Road – 01444 455694

Burgess Hill Town Council Help Point, Church Road – 01444 247726

The event is the latest in a series of initiatives to raise funds to pay for the employment of a professional health economist to help produce the campaign’s response to the Primary Care Trust’s proposals.
