Deliver your support for hospital services
20 August 2007

“Deliver your support for hospital services”. That’s the message from the Support the Princess Royal Hospital campaign, who are calling for residents to commit to help deliver a leaflet in their local area.

The leaflet, to be published in September, will outline what the proposals being put forward by the Primary Care Trust would mean for the area, and include a response form to allow every resident to formally send their views to the PCT.

The Primary Care Trust will shortly send a summary of their proposals to every household in Mid Sussex and the surrounding area, but have omitted to include a response form in their leaflet. Campaigners are now asking for help to deliver the leaflet to the tens of thousands of local households which would be affected by the downgrading of A&E and maternity services at the Princess Royal Hospital.

The campaign team are hoping that residents from across the area will volunteer an hour of their time to deliver the leaflets in a road or two near where they live in mid-September.

Mid Sussex MP Nicholas Soames said: “I hope the whole community will again be able to join together and help the campaign get its message across. The leaflet will set out the reality of the Primary Care Trust’s proposals, and provide a response form to allow every local resident to formally contribute to the ongoing consultation”.

Residents wishing to volunteer can do so online by completing this form
