Health
authority ignores PRH concerns At a board meeting of the South East Strategic Health Authority on Monday 25th June, around 100 Mid Sussex residents protested about the threat to services at the Princess Royal Hospital, and asked board members to reject the consultation document as unfit for consultation. Although board members voted to approve the PCT consultation document, meaning that an 18 week public consultation will start this week, caveats surrounding the need for greater scrutiny and information about the implementation plan and accessibility issues were also agreed. The Support the PRH's sister campaign Kwash (Keep Worthing and Southlands Hospitals) protested outside a Primary Care Trust board meeting in Worthing. A letter from West Sussex MPs and Council Leaders & Chairmen was presented to the PCT board, which can be downloaded here.
