The Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath is under threat. Please help us support it

As part of plans to reconfigure hospital services in West Sussex, the local Primary Care Trust have announced drastic options, including the downgrading of vital Accident & Emergency and consultant-led maternity services at the Princess Royal Hospital at Haywards Heath.

Local MPs Nicholas Soames, Nick Herbert, Norman Baker and Charles Hendry have launched this campaign to fight any proposed downgrading of the Princess Royal Hospital. They are asking the whole community to get involved and help them fight for the high quality hospital facilities needed in Mid Sussex and the surrounding area.

It is important that health officials hear the opposition of the people of Mid Sussex to any downgrading, and you are urged to support the campaign however you can. So far, tens of thousands of people have signed the campaign's petition, 14,000 people attended a march and rally in Haywards Heath in October and thousands of people have attended a 24-hour vigil, bed push and picnic in the park. The PCT consultation closed on 14th November 2007, and a final decision on the fate of the PRH is expected in Spring 2008.
